Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Singh Dobal has instructed the district police to take action against those who disturb public peace by drinking alcohol on the roadside and in public places. In this sequence, Shyampur police station formed different teams and suddenly late Saturday evening at various places. Raided. On the spot, people drinking alcohol on the roadside were caught and brought to the police station and disciplinary action was taken against all the youths caught under the Uttarakhand Police Act.

Police station in-charge Nitesh Sharma said that 35 youths came under the scanner of this action taken by different teams at different places. Rs 17500 were collected from him as running fee. All the people caught apologized and said not to repeat such mistake in future.
