election Commission: The Election Commission has sought answers from BJP and Congress presidents on complaints of violation of election code of conduct against each other. Both the political parties have to reply by 1 pm on Monday i.e. 18th November.

Both political parties BJP and Congress were also reminded of the advisory issued on 22 May 2024 at the time of Lok Sabha elections. In the advisory, it has been asked to control the star campaigners and leaders, so that public decorum is not violated and the model code of conduct is followed during the election campaign.

The first phase of elections in Jharkhand is over. Elections will be held on all remaining seats of Maharashtra and Jharkhand on November 20. Meanwhile, BJP and Congress have filed complaints against each other in the Election Commission for violation of the code of conduct. Now the Election Commission has written separate letters to BJP President JP Nadda and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge seeking response regarding the complaint.
