Jagdish Patni said in the complaint that Shivendra Pratap Singh introduced him to people named Diwakar Garg and Acharya Jaiprakash. These accused claimed that they have strong political connections and would give Jagdish Patni the post of Chairman, Vice Chairman or any other strong position in the government commission. With this promise the accused took Rs 25 lakh from Patni.
They promised to return the money if the work was not done
Jagdish Patni transferred Rs 5 lakh in cash and Rs 20 lakh to three different bank accounts to the accused. He also said that the accused had promised to return the money if there was no work for three months. But when Pat. asked him for the money back, he started threatening him.
Initially the accused claimed that they were working. Also, to give false confidence in this regard, they identified a person as an Officer on Special Duty and also interviewed him. But even after months have passed, the promise has not been fulfilled.
The station in-charge said that Patni complained about this to the Senior Superintendent of Police and on his orders, a case has been registered in the Kotwali against Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, Preeti Garg, Acharya Jaiprakash and Himanshu under sections of cheating, intimidation and forgery.
