In a workshop on “Empathy and Emotional Intelligence” at Samadriya School on Saturday, Dr. Jain said that the quality of emotional empathy is a reflection of a person’s sensitivities which helps in deeply understanding and connecting with the society. The roots of empathy lie buried in our body and mind. This skill can be developed through practice. He cautioned the students and made it clear that you all have to develop the ability to take decisions by combining your thinking and emotions. Only then can the dream of becoming a successful citizen be fulfilled.
Director Dr. M. Shankar Dwivedi said that at present the emotional intelligence of the youth is declining, which is fatal for the future.
