Ramamurthy Naidu, younger brother of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, died in Hyderabad on Saturday after prolonged illness. He was admitted to the hospital three days ago due to heart and breathing problems and was on a ventilator.

Ramamurthy Naidu was a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Chandragiri constituency from 1994 to 1999. During his tenure, he played a very active role in strengthening the party from the grassroots level. According to sources at AIG Hospital, he died of a heart attack at 12:45 pm today.

Leaders of all parties expressed grief

Leaders of various parties have expressed grief over the demise of Ramamurthy. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, former Rajya Sabha member Kankamedala Ravindrakumar and Narayana Ramamurthy, minister in the TDP government of Andhra Pradesh, have expressed deep grief over the death of CM Chandrababu Naidu’s brother. Expressing condolences, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy said, ‘The demise of Ramamurthy Naidu is sad. We pray that God may grant peace to his holy soul and courage to his family.

Former Rajya Sabha member Kankamedla Ravindra Kumar said that the demise of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s brother and former MLA Ramamurthy Naidu is sad. He said that Ramamurthy Naidu has served the people of the area a lot as Chandragiri MLA. He appreciated his services towards the party and described him as invaluable. Kanakamedala expressed deep condolences to the family members of Ramamurthy Naidu and prayed for the peace of his soul.

CM Chandrababu Naidu leaves for Hyderabad from Delhi

After hearing the news of his brother’s death, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu left for Hyderabad from Delhi. Let us tell you that the last rites of Ramamurthy Naidu will be performed tomorrow (Sunday) in Narwaripalle. His mortal remains will be kept at his ancestral residence in Naravaripalle for the last darshan.
