The countdown for the mega auction of IPL 2025 has started. Bidding for the players is scheduled to take place on November 24 and 25. BCCI has also declared the list of players regarding this. This time bidding will be seen on 574 players. In which the oldest player is James Anderson of England and the youngest player is Vaibhav Suryavanshi of India. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is at 491st place in the list of auctioned players. Vaibhav has been included as an uncapped player.
Ranji debut against Bihar
Suryavanshi made his Ranji debut for Bihar in January this year. His performance during this period was quite good, after which Vaibhav was selected in the India A team for the Australia tour. Vaibhav also performed brilliantly against Australia A and scored a century. Vaibhav scored this century in just 58 balls. His innings included 14 fours and 4 sixes. Suryavanshi has played 5 first class matches in his career. Vaibhav has scored 100 runs in 10 innings.

The oldest player in this auction is James Anderson. 42 year old Anderson has kept his base price at Rs 1.25 crore. Anderson has not played a single T20 match since 2014 and has never been a part of the IPL. But, this time he has decided to enter IPL. Anderson retired from cricket in July 2024. James Anderson is the highest wicket-taker in the history of Test cricket. Anderson took 704 wickets in 188 test matches. Anderson also played 194 ODI matches, taking 269 wickets, while his T20 International career began in 2007 and he played his last match in 2009. He took 18 wickets in 19 T20 International matches.
Mega auction to be held in Jeddah
A total of 574 players will be included in the auction to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Of the 574 players, 366 are Indians and 208 are foreigners, including 3 players from friendly countries. There will be 318 Indian uncapped players and 12 uncapped foreign players in the IPL 2025 auction. There are 204 slots vacant for IPL teams, out of which 70 slots are for foreign players.
