Hazaribagh, 15 November (Hindustan Reporter) On Friday, on Kartik Purnima, more than 50 thousand devotees had darshan of Lord Narasimha at the Narasimha temple located in Khapariyanwa of Katkamdag block of the famous district across the state. The crowd of devotees started gathering at 2 o’clock in the night and as soon as the doors opened at 4 in the morning, the entire area echoed with the chants of Lord Narasimha. Apart from MP M.sh Jaiswal, Congress candidate Munna Singh, BJP candidate Pradeep Prasad and devotees from Patna and Ranchi also paid obeisance in this temple which is more than 400 years old. The worship continued throughout the day. By eight in the morning there was a 500 meter long line outside the temple premises.
There was a queue of devotees till 3 pm in the afternoon. Special arrangements were made through the Narasimha Temple Puja Committee regarding the puja and fair. Stalls of many other social org.zations were also set up in the fair. Khichdi was distributed among the devotees as Mahaprasad. A testing camp was org.zed by the Health Department. Tight security arrangements were made at the fair. Apart from Katkamdag Police, Scouts and Guide cadets were also engaged in the arrangements of the temple.
