Ranchi, 15 November (Hindu). On Friday, the 150th birth anniversary of the brave freedom fighter Lord Birsa Munda of Jharkhand was celebrated on behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Ranchi Metropolitan.

VHP officials and workers garlanded and paid homage to his statue at Birsa Chowk in Ranchi.
Tributes were also paid by garlanding the picture of Lord Birsa Munda in the ancient Ram temple Chutiya.

On this occasion, Provincial Minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mithileshwar Mishra said that Birsa Munda, the God of nation, religion and culture, was the protector. Lord Birsa Munda was a public leader not only of Jharkhand but also of India, who fought against the British all his life and sacrificed his life to protect the motherland.

He opposed the religious conversion taking place among the society due to the influence of British missionaries and made people aware about their own religion. Today, on the holy birth anniversary of Lord Birsa, the entire country is celebrating Tribal Pride Day and is paying tribute to Lord Birsa as well as all the great men and brave sacrificers of the tribal society. Today there is a need to follow the path shown by him to protect the religious culture for the overall development of Jharkhand.

Among those who paid homage were Mahant Gokuldas of Ram Mandir Chutiya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad provincial minister Mithileshwar Mishra, provincial Matrishakti chief Deepa R., Ranchi department minister Ravi Shankar Rai, metropolitan president Kailash Kesari, metropolitan minister Vishwa Ranjan, metropolitan social harmony chief Mukesh Giri, Metropolitan Matrishakti chief Chanda Devi, Keshav Nagar Minister Ajay Baitha, Birsanagar coordinator Trilok Singh, Manju Singh and other workers were present.
