Elon Musk News: Elon Musk’s social media platform X now seems to be turning the tables. After the election in the United States, people turned to Jack Dorsey’s Blue Sky as the number of people looking for an alternative to X increased from 1.3 million to 1.5 million at the end of October. Blue Sky is a service started by Jack Dorsey, former CEO of Twitter. Britain’s leading newspaper The Guardian has also announced to stop posting on X.
Elon Musk changed its name to X after purchasing Twitter, while CEO Jack Dorsey launched a new service called Blue Sky. Till February this service was available only to invited people but after February it has been opened to all users. Similar to Aks, the service provides search feeds and hierarchical information about the accounts users follow.
Blue Sky has benefited from users leaving X earlier. After X was banned in Brazil in August, Blue Sky added 2.6 million users in a single week. In which 85 percent were Brazilians. Last month also, Blue Sky had added five lakh users in a single day. Despite the increase in Blue Sky users, X claims the US election has maintained its global dominance and set a new record. Ax said 15.5 percent of new users joined on Election Day itself. X has set a record by publishing 942 million posts worldwide.
On Wednesday, Britain’s leading newspaper The Guardian announced it would no longer post on X. “We are leaving X because of right-wing conspiracy theories and racism,” the newspaper said. TV journalist Don Lemon also announced on X that he was leaving X. Lemon feels this is not the right place for honest debate and discussion. New rules for AX site are also coming into effect from Friday. As a result, claims against Lemon said it would be easy for Ax to defend himself in this court and punish critics.
Blue Sky CEO Jack Dorsey, in his special style, targeted X owner Elon Musk and presidential candidate Trump and said, ‘I guarantee you that no member of the Blue Team will be with the presidential candidate today. Sit down and hand them control of what you see online.” Journalists, leftist politicians and celebrities are now turning to Blue Sky, believing that X will no longer be a neutral platform due to Elon Musk’s ties to Trump.
