Mumbai: It was being discussed for a long time that Vicky Kaushal is working in a mythological film of the makers of ‘Stree 2’. Now this film has been officially announced.
It has been announced that Vicky Kaushal will play the role of Lord Parashuram in the film titled ‘Mahavatar’. Its first look has also been revealed.
The film is directed by ‘Stree 2’ director Amar Kaushik. It has been announced that the film will be released in time for Christmas 2026. However, the other cast of the film has not been announced yet.
Vicky Kaushal was also initially selected for the role of Ashwatthama. Aditya Dhar was going to make this film with a budget of Rs 300 crore. But, the film was shelved because no financier was willing to place such a big bet on Vicky Kaushal.
With this, another film has been added to the series of Indian mythological films in Bollywood. Ranbir Kapoor is also currently working in the film ‘Ramayana’.
