Hosts India continued their dominance in the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy as they defeated Thailand 13-0 in their third match to complete a hat-trick of wins. Deepika scored five goals for India namely 3rd, 19th, 43rd, 45th and 45th (two goals in a minute).
Preeti Dubey scored two goals in the ninth and 40th minutes, Lalremsiami scored two goals in the 12th and 56th minutes and M.sha Chauhan scored two goals in the 55th and 58th minutes. Beauty Dungdung scored in the 30th minute and Navneet Kaur scored in the 53rd minute. In the first match, India defeated Malaysia 4-0 and South Korea 3-2. Both India and China have won three matches each and both have nine points. Due to the difference of 21 goals, the Indian team is in second place after China. The Indian team will play against Olympic silver medalist China on Saturday. Malaysia defeated Korea 2-1 and China defeated Japan 2-1.
