Ballia, 07 July (Hindustan Times). Chhote alias Chhotak Kahar, accused in two sensational murders, who was absconding for fifteen years, has been arrested by the police SWAT team with a pistol. It was living in Andhra Pradesh under a pseudonym.
Superintendent of Police S Anand said on Friday that Chhote alias Chhotak Kahar, involved in the Sohan Singh murder case in 2008 and another murder in Sahatwar in 2012, was wanted for fifteen years. He had got a fake Aadhaar card made in the name of Prakash and was living in Andhra Pradesh with the same name.
He told that when the location was found to be in the district, the joint team of Police Station President Nagra Atul Kumar Mishra and SWAT team in-charge Ajay Yadav arrested him from near Fire Brigade Center Nechuadih on Friday. It was being searched by the district police for a long time.
He told that the Gangster Act was also imposed against this in the year 2009. A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced earlier on the arrested Chhote alias Chhotak Kahar s/o Prabhunath resident of Saharspali. A 315 bore illegal pistol, two live cartridges and a fake Aadhaar card in the name of Prakash were recovered from it. He told that the rest of his accomplices are being searched. At present it has been sent to jail.
