Dates contain about 90 percent sugar. Eating dates on an empty stomach suddenly increases the blood sugar level in the body, which can be dangerous for health. Apart from this, eating dates on an empty stomach can also cause problems of gas and acidity in the stomach.

What do you do
If you want to eat dates then do not eat them on an empty stomach. According to experts, eating dates with desi ghee has a good effect on the body. Along with this, consumption of dry fruits like almonds and cashews can also be beneficial.

These things should not be eaten in the morning.

1. Tea and coffee with sugar
Drinking tea or coffee with sugar first thing in the morning is not considered beneficial for health. Sugar consumption can affect the amount of insulin in the body and cause weight gain. This is due to the use of non-nutritive sweeteners like stevia.

2. Biscuits with tea
Many people have the habit of eating biscuits in tea. But doing this on an empty stomach can have a bad effect on the digestive system. Refined sugar and fat present in biscuits can be harmful for the body. Eating khakhra instead of ghee is a better option.

3. Malt based drinks
There are malt based drinks available in the market that claim to increase strength and muscle mass. Actually it is not very beneficial for the body. These contain high amounts of sugar and artificial flavours. Give warm milk to children and add turmeric or honey to it.

Adopt proper habits to improve health

* Drinking water on an empty stomach in the morning is a good habit. You can heat it a little.
* If you have a habit of eating something sweet for breakfast, then start with honey and almonds.
* Consuming fresh fruits and nuts is a better option to start the day.
