Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh): Nine passengers were injured when a tourist bus overturned near a double turn on Khandwa road on Monday.

The bus overturned near the double turn before the Ghats in Simrol at 4:40 AM on Monday.

The Simrol Police Station in-charge, along with FRB and patrolling officers, quickly responded to the incident and rushed to the scene to manage the situation.

Upon arrival, authorities immediately called for an ambulance, and the injured passengers were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

One individual, who hails from Badwah, was sent directly to the hospital, while the remaining nine injured passengers were initially sent to Mahu Madhya Bharat Hospital for immediate care.

Following the primary treatment, these passengers were referred to a more specialised facility in Indore for further medical attention and evaluation.

The group of injured passengers are all from Gandhidham, Gujarat, and were on a religious pilgrimage. They had been traveling from Prayagraj and were on their way to Omkareshwar, passing through Ujjain.

There were three buses traveling together, but unfortunately, one of them lost control and overturned during the journey, leading to the accident.

Despite the early hour and the severity of the incident, the local police responded with remarkable speed and efficiency.

They assisted in evacuating the injured, ensuring they received the necessary medical treatment without delay.

The police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident, but their quick action in managing the situation played a key role in preventing further casualties.

The passengers’ families have been notified, and authorities are providing full support to ensure all involved receive the proper care.
