Huge increase in employees’ salary

The Central Government has approved the 8th Pay Commission for the increment of central employees, which can provide great relief to the employees. The new pay commission will benefit around 1.15 crore central employees and pensioners.

15 to 30 percent salary and pension hike

According to the data so far, there has been an increase of 15 to 30 percent in the salary and pension of central employees. This time also the increment will be in this limit, which can benefit the employees a lot.

When will the new pay commission apply?

The recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission will be applicable till 2025, and after that the 8th Pay Commission will be applicable. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has confirmed that the government is committed to implement it in a timely manner. According to this, the 8th Pay Commission will be applicable from 1 January 2026, although it may also be delayed by one month.

This means that from 1 January 2026, central employees and pensioners will get higher salary and pension, and if it is delayed, the employees will get one month payment as arrears.

What will be the salary structure of central employees?

The salary was increased on the basis of the fitment factor in the Seventh Pay Commission, and the fitment factor was 2.57 at this time. Now, the 8th Pay Commission is expecting that the fitment factor can go up to 2.86, which can increase the minimum salary from Rs 18,000 to Rs 51,480. Experts estimate that the salary may increase between Rs 41,000 to 51,480.

State employees will also get benefit

The 8th Pay Commission will not only be for central employees, but the employees of the state government can also get the benefit, although it can be applied late. Based on the changes of the previous pay commission in states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the recommendations of the new Pay Commission may also apply for the state employees.
