1. Make sure before starting preparation, to read the exam pattern and syllabus thoroughly. Study plan, divided into topics and reporting the marking and weightage dynamic of the realization of sections.
2. Create a realistic syllabus for all subjects. Devote time for revision, mock tests and previous years’ important question papers. Make sure you follow your schedule every day.
3. Discover your strong and weak subjects, spend more time on weaker areas, and make sure to still practice strong subjects regularly. This way, you will perform better overall.
4. Solving mock tests and past papers will make you acquainted with the exam pattern and enhance your time management. It also builds confidence by mimicking the conditions of the actual exam.
5. Since all Government exams are time-bound, you have to practice solving questions in the stipulated time frame. Subjects like quantitative aptitude and reasoning are all about speed, learn the shortcuts and tricks.
6. General awareness and current affairs are very important for UPSC, SSC, and banking exams. Newspapers, news apps, revising all the major events, etc.
7. Be wary of procrastination and social media distractions. This is the time for you to be motivated and continue to study with discipline. Success is the result of consistent practice and revision.
8. Better concentration requires good health. Sleep well enough, eat plenty of healthy food and exercise to relieve stress and keep your mind alert.
