This commission will prove to be important for about 1 crore employees. There is a possibility of a big increase in the basic salary of employees in the new Pay Commission, but some old allowances are also expected to end.
According to the information, the central government may announce the names of the Chairman and two members of the Pay Commission in April. After setting the basic salary of employees by the new Commission, the allowances will be re -evaluated on the same basis. During this time many old and non-essential allowances can be eliminated.
It is being claimed in media reports that some old allowances received by employees in the 8th Pay Commission can be completely removed. At the same time, some new allowances can be added according to modern requirements. It is worth noting that earlier in the 7th Pay Commission, 101 of the total 196 allowances were abolished.
