Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 70-year-old man jumped from the third floor of a building after allegedly killing his wife in Indore on Friday.
The deceased identified as Tarachand Khatri, jumped from the terrace of his three-story house after killing his 65-year-old wife, Seema Khatri, in Indore’s Silver Palace area under the Annapurna police station.
According to the information received, 70-year-old Tarachand Khatri attacked his wife, 65-year-old Seema Khatri, multiple times with a pair of scissors inside their home.
The brutal attack left Seema severely injured, and she succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
After attacking his wife, Tarachand went to the terrace of their three-story house and jumped off in an apparent attempt to harm himself. He suffered serious injuries from the fall and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Initial investigations suggest that the couple had been facing family disputes for a long time. It is also being reported that Tarachand’s mental health had been deteriorating, which may have contributed to the tragic incident.
The Annapurna police, along with a forensic team, reached the spot and have begun an investigation.
Authorities are questioning family members and neighbors to understand more about the couple’s relationship and the events leading up to the crime. Further details will be revealed as the investigation progresses.
