Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic accident was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena, where an over-speeding bus hit a 70-year-old man, killing him on Thursday. The driver fled the spot and police was searching for the accused.
The deceased was identified as Maharaj Singh Tyagi, resident of Gaipara village.
According to information, the elderly man was coming back to his village from Jaura on Thursday. While on the way, when he reached near the railway gate of Gaipara village, an over-speeding bus rammed into him. Following this, the accused driver fled from the spot.
Upon ruckus, the nearby people informed the police and took the injured to the district hospital in Morena, where doctors declared him dead. The police registered a case against the accused driver and started searching for him. The police have also asked the hospital staff to conduct post-mortem on the deceased body.
The elderly man’s son Kamlesh Tyagi demanded strict action against the accused and the police assured him. The police were currently tracking the CCTV footage of the area and further investigations are underway.
