Mumbai: A seven-year-old boy hit by a car at Borivali railway station on December 14 succumbed to injuries at Shatabdi Hospital on Monday.

The child, Ganesh Yadav, was walking with his mother when he let go of her hand. The car driver and his mother rushed him to the hospital but he died during treatment in the ICU.

Ganesh’s mother was returning with him after visiting her sister in Sukarwadi, Borivali when the accident occurred. The car, a Scorpio, was approaching from behind when they were outside the station. On the complaint of Ganesh’s father, Rahul Yadav, the Kasturba Marg police registered a case.
