Argentina Earthquake: On Friday (May 2), a 7.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Argentina. Earthquakes occurred in Drake Passage (under water), 222 km south of Ushuaiya in Southern Argentina, at 1 pm (Indian time at 6:30 pm Indian time). A tsunami warning was also issued a few minutes after the earthquake. In which people were appealed to go away from the coast to high places.
A message issued by the American tsunami warning system stated that a warning of dangerous waves for the shores within 300 km from the center of the earthquake has been issued, including Southern Argentina and Chile.
