Muthukumar Jebarajan, Sr. Technician of Electrical Department, Rail Wheel Factory has been awarded with Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar, 2024 along with other awardees of AVRSP 2024. He will be felicitated at a function to be held at Bharat Mandapam, by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology, GoI. Muthukumar has put outstanding efforts in improving productivity by using in-house resources to upgrade and modify the machines. Muthukumar has modified and upgraded electrical systems of production related machines like demounting press, bridge cranes from relay logic to PLC, which has resulted in energy savings and manpower. The overall cost saving of his works during the year 2023-24 is Rs.1.5 Crores. These modification has also not only resulted in reduction of breakdowns but also improved the efficiency and reliability of the machines thereby increasing the productivity.
