The survey said that 59 percent of Indians are getting less than 6 hours of sleep. 38 percent of them are unable to get enough sleep in the weekend.

Questions were asked from 43 thousand people of 348 districts.

The survey conducted by local circles surveyed 43,000 people. All these 43 thousand people are residents of 348 different districts of India. Of which 61 percent are men and 39 percent are females. These people were asked how many hours of consecutive sleep you got at night.

15689 people replied

15689 people answered this question. 39 percent said that they get 6-8 hours of sleep. 39 percent of the people said that they need 4-6 hours of sleep. 20 percent of the people said that they get about 4 hours of sleep. Two percent of people said that they get 8–10 hours of sleep. A total of 59 percent of the people also said that they are not getting even 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Major causes of sleep disruptions

The survey found that the biggest reason for repeated sleep disrupting is going to the bathroom again and again in the middle of the night. 72 percent of the people said that going toilets were the main reason for their sleep disturbance. If you talk about other reasons, irregular routines, noise, mosquito problems and sleep disturbances are the main reasons due to partner or children.

 

Inadequate sleep causes many diseases

According to experts, lack of sleep causes many diseases. This not only causes fatigue and dark circles, but can also have long -term serious consequences. Sleep experts say that prolonged sleep deficiency may increase the risk of metabolic diseases such as heart disease, obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Work is also being affected.

Experts say that lack of sleep is also affecting the work capacity of employees. Research suggests that there are more chances of making mistakes from the lack of sleep, their concentration is less, and they are also less capable of problem solutions.

Sleep pills are dangerous in the long run

People resort to sleeping pills to get rid of insomnia problem. Such drugs can be an easy solution, but doctors warn to use them without proper consultation, citing long -term serious hazards.
