A 57-year-old businessman has been arrested by the Bandra police on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor boy, while asking the latter if he could do acting.
According to the police, the accused is a resident of 11th Road, Khar West, while the 16-year-old victim lives in Andheri East. The incident occurred on Friday near the Almeida Park, Bandra West, on Friday.
At around 3.30pm, the man approached the teen and asked him if he could do acting. Subsequently, he allegedly sexually assaulted the boy on the pretext of measuring his height. The terrified boy went straight to the Bandra police station and filed a complaint against the businessman.
Accordingly, the police registered a case and after preliminary investigation, arrested the man from his residence late Saturday. He has been booked under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
