Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a 55-year-old body was found lying in a pool of blood in a warehouse in the Omti area of Jabalpur district, said the police on Friday.
According to police, the victim was identified as Sampat Yadav. His body was found with severe injuries on his head and a huge rock was found beside the body stained by blood on it. Also, the matter pertains to Udhiya Mohalla area under the Omti police station jurisdiction.

Police suspect the deceased was murdered late on Thursday night by being hit with a rock. The horrific incident has left residents in shock and raised concerns about the rising violence in the city.
Dog squad at work to trace suspects
After being informed, teams of police from Omti and Belbagh police station rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. Senior officers, along with the Dog Squad and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, are working to gather evidence.

Police are examining CCTV footage from the area and relying on the Dog Squad to trace the accused.
The crime occurred in the Udhiya Mohalla area under the Omti police station. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) City, Anand Kaladgi, has assured the public that all efforts are being made to bring the culprits to justice.
