With the beginning of the new year, the trend of student suicides has started once again in Kota. A girl from Ahmedabad committed suicide in Kota on Wednesday. Now this year, the death of 5 coaching students in just 22 days has shaken Kota city. This incident has created a stir in the police administration. Coaching institutes are worried. On the other hand, hospitals are also worried about the cries of families who have lost their children. There is a strange silence in Kota after these incidents. According to statistics, 53 students have committed suicide in Kota in the last 2 years and 22 days.

If we look at the statistics, last year 19 coaching students committed suicide in Coaching City. Earlier in the year 2023, 29 students had lost their lives. After that, in the beginning of this year, 5 students have committed suicide in just 22 days. In this way, 53 students have committed suicide in Kota in 2 years and 22 days. Now the question arises that when will this trend of student suicides stop?
Here children are living in houses on rent
Not only the police and administration but also the common man is worried about this step taken by students who dream of becoming engineers and doctors. The economy of Kota depends on coaching students. About 1.75 lakh children from different states of the country come to Kota to prepare for engineering and medical entrance examinations. Apart from coaching centres, there are many hostels, mess and PGs here. Here children are being made to work by going door to door.
Administration guidelines are not being followed
Most of the students are committing suicide by hanging. The biggest problem behind this is believed to be the hostel managers not following the guidelines issued by the administration. Anti-hanging devices were to be installed in the wings of PG rooms as well as hostels after worrying and horrifying figures of suicide by coaching students emerged. But hostel managers are not following this.

Not only this, identifying stressed students and relieving them is a big challenge for the police and administration.
