The incident of firing of 50 rounds in broad daylight in Yamunanagar district of Haryana shook the entire area. This dreadful incident took place in Lakha Singh Khedi area at around 8.15 am, when three youths returning from the gym were ambushed by bike-borne assailants. The youth were chased and shot. In this attack, two youths died on the spot, while the third one was seriously injured and is fighting for his life in the hospital.

CCTV footage of this incident has surfaced, in which it can be seen that the three youths were coming out of the gym and moving towards their Bolero car. Then the miscreants riding on the bike surrounded them and started firing indiscriminately. The youth started running to escape the bullets. A young man tried to enter a nearby hospital, but the attackers shot him there. It was also shown in the CCTV that the miscreants kept firing bullets at the youths who were already lying drenched in blood.
Panic in the city after firing
The attackers had covered their faces, making it difficult to identify them. Till now no gangster or group has taken responsibility for this attack. Police suspect that personal enmity, property dispute, or some other enmity could be the reason behind the incident.

As soon as information about the incident was received, SP and other senior officers reached the spot. Police have recovered empty cartridges and scattered blood stains from the spot. In the initial investigation it is clear that the miscreants attacked the youth with the intention of killing them.
There was firing in Panchkula also last week, and now this incident in Yamunanagar has raised questions on the law and order of the state.
