Two films that audiences were eagerly waiting for this year were Salman Khan starrer Sikandar and Sunny Deol’s Jaat. Both the actors were coming back on the big screens after a gap of around two years. Finally, on March 30, 2025, Sikandar was released, and the film turned out to be a flop at the box office. The AR Murugadoss directorial failed to impress the critics as well the audiences, and even Salman Khan’s fans. On April 10, 2025, Sunny Deol’s Jaat was released, and the movie has received mixed to positive reviews, however, there are not many negative reviews for the film.

Netizens are calling Jaat a perfect Massy Entertainer, so here are five things that we expected from Sikandar but we got to see them in Sunny Deol starrer…

Presentation Of A Star

What AR Murgadoss failed to do in Sikandar, Gopichand Malineni did fantastically in Jaat! Malineni used the star power and aura of Sunny Deol perfectly in the film which we unfortunately didn’t get to see in Sikandar.

Good Desi Action

Sunny Deol starrer doesn’t have action sequences choreographed in an international style. It is raw, rustic, and desi, something that we love watching him doing on the big screens. In Sikandar, there were no action sequences that impressed us.

A Strong Villain

If you have a strong hero like Salman Khan and Sunny Deol, you need to have a powerful villain as well. In Sikandar, Sathyaraj’s negative character was a big disappointment. Meanwhile, in Jaat, Randeep’s character is menacing, and not just him, even Vineet Singh Kumar and Regina Cassandra as villains are very good.

A Strong Female Lead

It was disheartening to see that how badly Kajal Aggarwal was wasted in Sikandar, and even Rashmika Mandanna had nothing much to do. But, in Jaat, Saiyami Kher and Regina, both the female leads have strong characters to portray.

Entertainment

Most importantly, what we missed in Sikandar was entertainment. Even Jaat has some flaws, but what it offers is entertainment, entertainment, and entertainment.

So, if we compare these two films of course, Jaat is better. But now let’s wait and watch whether the Sunny Deol starrer will be able to beat the collection of Sikandar at the box office or not.
