Fill your blender halfway with warm water and add a small squeeze of dish soap. Blend at high speed for 30 seconds. The warm, soapy water will loosen and dissolve any bits stuck to the sides or bottom. Moreover, you should also take care of cooking safety.

This natural gas blocks the hormones inside potatoes that make sprouts start to grow. The ethylene keeps potatoes dormant longer. So, add an apple or two to your bag or basket of potatoes to halt the sprouting process.

Use a wooden spoon to prevent boil-overs: Laying a wooden spoon atop a boiling pot efficiently prevents messy overflows. The wide spoon head interferes with the rising bubbles, stopping them from overflowing the sides. This neat trick holds liquids in the pot and avoids stovetop spills or burns.

Grate butter for baking: Recipes asking for cold, solid butter often call for dicing it into dry ingredients. But grating chilled butter using a large cheese grater hole instead makes baked goods more tender and flakier. The fine strands blend smoothly into the dough or batter.
