4,928 Cases Of Child Rape Pending In High Court
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As many as 4,928 child rape cases are pending in the high court, and there are 64 such cases in which the culprits murdered minor girls after violating them.
The trial courts have awarded capital punished to 11 culprits. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave a written reply to a question raised by Congress legislator Bala Bachchan in the House on Tuesday.
There are 3,013 pending cases in Jabalpur High Court, 1,284 in Indore bench, and 631 in Gwalior bench. The number of accused in jail in connection with the pending cases is 2,650, and 2, 593 have been bailed.
Bachchan also wanted to know what the department had done to quickly work out the cases of rape and murder, and whether the Chief Minister issued any instructions for it. In reply to his questions, it was said that no action had been taken in this case, and CM also did not issue any instructions for it.
5.41Lakh Malnourished Children In State, Over 12K In Bhopal
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Minister for Women and Child Development Department Nirmala Bhuria in a written reply informed the House on Tuesday that more than 5.41 lakh children were suffering from malnutrition in the state.
According to information provided by Bhuria, there are more than 12,000 malnourished children in Bhopal. Dhar has 35, 950 malnourished children, the highest in the state. Similarly, there are 24,000 malnourished children in Khargone, 21,000 in Barwani, and 17,000 in Chhindwara.
The government has failed to check malnutrition in cities besides tribal areas. There are 11,000 malnourished children in Indore, 12, 000 in Ujjain, over 7,000 in Gwalior, and more than 11, 000 in Jabalopur. In comparison to 2023-24, the number of malnutrition cases has reduced, but still there is hardly any district where malnutrition cases are not found.
