Pahalgam terrorist attack: The Jammu and Kashmir government has closed more than a dozen resorts and more than half of tourist destinations as a precaution amid security concerns after the killing of 26 people in the Pahalgam terror attack. 48 resorts located in the valleys and hills of the Union Territory have been closed. Various tourist destinations like Dudhapatri in Budgam and Verinag in Anantnag have also been closed for tourism.

Local people have been in danger due to the closure of these tourist destinations and resorts in Kashmir. Most of the local people come from tourism. Many tourists have canceled their journey to Kashmir after targeting tourists in the Pahalgam terror attack.

Local people’s employment was taken away

The number of tourists has come down significantly after the terrorist attack targeting tourists in Pahalgam. In addition, tourists are canceling their trips due to the closure of resorts and tourist destinations by the Omar Abdullah government. Due to which the jobs of the local people went away. Their standard of living may be severely affected as their only source of income will be taken away.

After two decades, Kashmiri took to the streets

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that after almost two decades, Kashmiri people have taken to the streets to condemn the attack. He made a special statement in the assembly yesterday that all the local people from Kathua to Kupwara have protested against these terrorists. They have united against the massacre of innocent people. The attackers will be punished severely. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also vowed to find and kill all the terrorists. The Government of India and Indian security agencies have carried out a large -scale search operation and intense work is being done.

These tourist attractions have been closed.
