The Manpada police arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly molested his 15-year-old daughter in Dombivli. According to the police, the victim lived with her 36-year-old mother and father in a residential building located in Dombivli.
The accused had a bad eye on his daughter. The victim was alone in the home. Upon seeing her alone, the accused father went to approach her and allegedly molested her. She resisted his actions.
The police said that the victim narrated the entire incident to her mother about the act of her father. The mother was shocked to hear about the incident, following which the mother confronted her husband about the act. Thereafter, the accused father allegedly beat them up.
The police said that the mother, along with the victim, approached the police station on December 5 and narrated the incident to the police, filing an FIR against him. The police arrested him and produced him in court, remanding him into police custody for further investigation.
The Manpada police have registered a case against him based on a complaint filed by his wife. A case was lodged under sections of the Bharatiya Penal Code and the relevant section of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
