The twin city of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has now started initiatives for the renovation of civically run municipal schools, enhancing the quality of education and enrolling a large number of students. Following this initiative, as many as 403 students enrolled for new admission in civic-run schools across the KDMC limits.
According to the officials of the Education Department of KDMC, they started the admission process in all civically run municipal schools on the occasion of the Gudi Padwa festival. Under this initiative, 403 children took admission in 56 out of 57 KDMC schools in one day.
The civic official said that the transformation initiative for all civic-run schools was taken under the instruction of Commissioner Chief Indu Rani Jakhar. The aim of this initiative is to increase the number of students and foster innovation in the schools.
The education department of KDMC made special efforts to innovate in the civic-run schools, equipping them with all facilities and increasing the quality of education.With enthusiasm, the registration of new students was conducted for two civic schools located in Umbrade in Kalyan East and Patharli in Dombivli West in the presence of Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar.
A large amount of funds was also provided for schools, informed Municipal Commissioner Dr Indurani Jakhar.On this occasion, a state-of-the-art computer lab and a well-equipped experimental setup by Sajag Charitable Trusts were inaugurated by the hands of Jakhar.
Sanjay Jadhav, Deputy Municipal Commissioner from the Education Department of KDMC, said, “We have a theme of ‘Gudi Padwa Admission Wadhva.’ Under this theme, a total of 403 student admissions were made. We provide free admission, including uniforms, books, notebooks, bags, and other materials.”
