Mumbai: A major accident occurred on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Friday afternoon when four vehicles collided due to overspeeding. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities, though the vehicles sustained significant damage. The collision caused a temporary traffic jam on the Sea Link, which was cleared once the vehicles were removed from the site.
The Worli Police have registered a case against the driver of an Innova, based on a complaint from a police officer on duty at the location. Investigations are underway. According to the Worli Police, the accident occurred around 11:30 AM. The speeding Innova rammed into a Skoda car in front, triggering a chain reaction in which the Skoda hit another vehicle, which then collided with a fourth car.
Upon receiving information about the accident, a police team promptly arrived at the scene. Following preliminary investigations, a case was filed against Kishor Shirwadkar, the driver of the Innova. Police revealed that Shirwadkar is a resident of Dombivli. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
