Saharsa (Bihar), February 06: In a shocking incident, a robbers looted a petrol pump at gunpoint in Bihar’s Saharsa. The armed robbery was caught in the CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that four miscreants arrive on two bikes with their faces covered at the petrol pump and flee with the cash bag from the cashier. There are reports that the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
As per reports, the four armed criminals robbed ₹21,000 from Pooja Petrol Pump in Tiri, Baijnathpur police station area, Saharsa on Wednesday (February 5). They threatened the petrol pump staff with guns and escaped quickly.
Details About The Robbery
The robbery took place in the evening when customers were present at the petrol pump. Four criminals arrived on two bikes. One of them got his bike refueled first.
As soon as he turned his bike around, he pulled out a gun and threatened the petrol pump employee. He warned, “If you make any noise, you will be shot.”
The criminals then snatched a cash-filled bag and escaped at high speed.
After the incident, local people were in fear. Reports say that there was no police patrolling near the petrol pump at the time of the robbery. The 112 emergency response team was also missing, which gave the criminals the confidence to commit the crime easily.
Many people are now questioning the police’s efficiency. After receiving the complaint, the police arrived at the spot and started checking nearby areas as part of their investigation. They are also investigating the CCTV cameras installed at the petrol pump and also the cameras installed in the area where the incident occurred. There are no reports of any arrests in connection with the matter. However, the police have registered the incident and are investigating the matter further.
