Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city crime branch caught four people from two different places and recovered MD drugs worth lakhs of rupees from their possession. A car and a bike were also recovered from the accused and they are being questioned for their source of MD drugs.  

According to DCP (crime) Rajesh Tripathi, in the first case, the crime branch team was searching in the area for information about the drug peddlers when the officials spotted a car on MR-4 Road. The car driver tried to flee after seeing the police vehicle when the police officials chased and arrested them.

The accused were identified as Aslam Sheikh, a resident of Sharjahan Colony and Javed Rangrez, a resident of Chandan Nagar area of the city. During a search, more than 52 grams of MD drugs were recovered from the accused. They allegedly informed the police that they were to supply the drugs to the youths in the city.

However, the officials are verifying the information.  In another action, the crime branch team arrested two persons from near Lokhande Bridge and recovered 61 grams of MD drugs from them. The police officials catched the accused after a chase.

Firoz Khan and Munavvar Khan, residents of Ratlam were arrested by the police and they are being questioned further. The accused have been booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The value of the drugs and the vehicles is Rs 20 lakh.
