Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 35-year-old man was brutally killed with an iron rod in Jabalpur on Saturday, allegedly by the security guards of a private printing press for harassing them.
His body was burned after being doused with petrol, and the press was set on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence.
According to information, the man identified as Vikas alias Vicky Patel, was brutally murdered in Jabalpur’s Omti area. The shocking crime involved killing him with an iron rod and burning his body after pouring petrol on it.
Patel, a resident of Naya Mohalla, ran a pan shop outside a private printing press that had been seized by a bank. The crime took place inside the press, where Patel frequently harassed the security guards stationed there.
Confession by Accused
The guards, Hemraj Sariya and Gyani Singh Thakur, confessed to the murder. They told the police that they were fed up with Vikas’ repeated harassment and decided to kill him. After committing the crime, they surrendered at the Omti police station.
Police Action
Police and forensic teams reached the scene promptly. Preliminary investigations revealed that the press was set on fire after the murder to destroy evidence.
Omti Police Station In-charge, Rajpal Singh Baghel, confirmed the incident and said that all facts are being collected for further investigation. He assured strict action against the accused.
