Mumbai: A 33-year-old rickshaw driver was allegedly killed by his uncle and aunt in Bandra (West) late on Saturday night over a property dispute.

The incident occurred near Gaiety Galaxy around 10 pm. Police have arrested the suspects, Habibur Khan, 56, and his wife, Sana Habib, 36, and filed an FIR. The complaint was filed by victim Kamran Faisal Faja’s elder brother, Imran Khan, 43.

According to police, Habibur attacked Kamran with a bamboo stick, striking him on the head. Habibur, who has five prior cases registered against him and has faced preventive action twice, escalated a long-standing property dispute that had often caused friction between the families. Kamran was rushed to Bhabha Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Initially registered as an accidental death, the case was reclassified as murder after the medical report confirmed severe head trauma.
