Mumbai-Kashimira Traffic Police took punitive action against 325 drivers who took selfies by stopping their vehicles on the recently constructed Versav flyover near Kashimira on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. It was found that these people were parking their vehicles on the flyover despite the ‘no parking’ board and harassing Seagal (sea birds).
According to an official giving more information in this regard, Versav flyover was constructed ahead of Kashmirira on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. Since a large number of seagel in this season falls in the bay flowing under this flyover, a large number of vehicles were seen to stop their vehicles on the road and feed Seagal.
To prevent traffic jams on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway and accidents here, the Versav Bridge has been banned to stop and park vehicles (no parking). Signs of big ‘no parking’ have also been placed on both sides of the bridge. However, this punitive action was done keeping in mind the possibility of traffic jams and accidents, as tourists traveling from Mumbai, Thane and other cities openly violate this rule by parking their vehicles on the road and feeding Seagal. Meanwhile, punitive action was taken against 325 drivers who park vehicles in the no-parking area and provide food to smokers.
