Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have set their sights high for IPL 2025, with captain Pat Cummins making a declaration about becoming the first franchise in IPL history to cross the elusive 300-run mark. He did the announcement during meet and greet session with fans ahead of the opening match against Rajasthan Royals. The video has gone viral on social media.

For years, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in 2013 stood as the highest total in IPL history. However, last year SRH, smashed a record total of 287/3 against RCB making it feel that 300-run total feel more achievable than ever.

SRH’s batting lineup is filled with explosive hitters who excel during powerplays and death overs as a result of which Cummins believes this could be the year they achieve that monumental feat.

How does SRH Team look this year?

Under Cummins’ leadership, SRH has embraced a bold, attacking style that makes them strong contenders to break the 300-run barrier.

The team features a perfect blend of experienced T20 players and promising young talents. With power-hitters at the top and finishers who can accelerate during the final overs, SRH has all the ingredients to post record-breaking totals.

Although Cummins has been away from competitive cricket due to paternity leave and injury, he remains a key figure in SRH’s strategy. His leadership and bowling skills are vital assets for the team. SRH has the balance needed to make a deep run in the tournament.

Rajasthan Royals on the other hand will be eager to challenge SRH’s aggressive style, promising an electrifying contest. Riyan Parag who will beleading the team for the first time will have his task cut out against a strong SRH team. Will Royals hold the SRH juggernaut or will they be crushed by the Orange Army?
