Bhopal/Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): As part of the Chief Minister’s Tirth Darshan Yojana, a special train carrying 300 elderly pilgrims from Gwalior will depart for a spiritual journey to Nagpur on Sunday, February 23. The special train is expected to arrive at platform number 4 of Gwalior Railway Station around 11:40 AM before commencing the journey.

Pilgrims selected for the trip have been instructed to reach the railway station by 8:40 AM to complete the necessary travel formalities. After visiting various sacred sites in Nagpur, the train will return to Gwalior on February 26.

According to information, during the pilgrimage, senior citizens will get the opportunity to visit significant religious sites, including Deekshabhoomi Stupa, Ramtek Temple, Shiva Temple, and Jain temples. Joint Collector Sanjeev Jain informed that all selected pilgrims must carry their original Aadhaar card, voter ID, and a certification confirming that they are non-income taxpayers.

Additionally, travelers have been advised to bring weather-appropriate clothing, blankets, personal care items such as towels, soap, combs, and any necessary medications. The pilgrimage is entirely free of cost for the selected elderly individuals, as it is fully funded by the Madhya Pradesh government.

Safety and Assistance assured

To ensure their safety and assistance, six government-appointed attendants will accompany the pilgrims throughout the journey. However, those who wish to avail of additional or special facilities will need to bear the extra expenses themselves.
