Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 30-year-old man died after jumping from a water tank on Sunday morning in Ward No. 10, Patan.

Locals discovered his body under the tank around 7 a.m., and he was identified as Surendra Patel.

According to information, Surendra, who worked as a vegetable seller and also did labor work, had been struggling with illness for some time, though the exact reason for his suicide remains unclear. His wife and son were not at home at the time of the incident.

When they returned and found him missing, they became worried and tried calling his phone, but it went unanswered, which raised their concerns.

Later, they found his body near the water tank. His mobile phone was discovered placed on top of the tank, leading to the belief that Surendra climbed up, left his phone there, and then jumped.

The police were informed and arrived at the scene, sending the body for a post-mortem.

he case is still under investigation, and the exact reasons for his suicide are not yet known. Police are looking into Surendra’s mental state and family situation.

The true cause will be revealed after the post-mortem report and mobile phone analysis. Further action will be taken based on the investigation’s findings.
