Naxalism is a major problem in the country. The government is working under various strategies to eliminate this problem from the root. In Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed 30 Naxalites by carrying out a big campaign against Naxalites.
This action has been taken against Naxalites in Bijapur and Kanker. A large number of weapons have been recovered from the Naxalites killed in the encounter.
A soldier was killed in this action. According to sources, more large operations will be conducted against the Naxalites in the coming days. Security forces are searching for Naxalite commander Hidma.
Technical mapping of more than 125 villages is being done to find Hidma. Security forces are doing thermal imaging of about 125 villages located on the borders of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. In Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed 113 Naxalites so far by 2025.
These areas are Naxalite affected and Hidma is suspected to be hiding here. Naxalites have built their bases in these areas. Security forces are seeking the help of NTRO in this task.
It is noteworthy that the Union Home Minister has targeted to end Naxalism by 31 March next year. The Union Home Ministry has said in a statement that the central government is moving fast against the Naxalites. The policy of zero tolerance is being adopted against the Naxalites who do not surrender. The country will be free from Naxalites before 31 March next year.
