Mumbai – In the investigation of the detective case at the Devalali Army Camp in Nashik, three soldiers have been directly associated with ISI handlers. This was revealed in the report of the military intelligence department after a long investigation. The Military Intelligence Department has submitted a detailed report of the case to the Army Command Headquarters after a week-long investigation by four soldiers of the Nashik-Devalali Army Camp.
According to sources, investigation has revealed that three of the four accused soldiers were directly associated with the ISI -backed drug syndicate and its operators for the last two years. This network is known for using the phone in India to smuggle intoxicating drugs or drop across border packets. Which is later obtained by a local courier, commonly known as Pandhi (smuggling). The soldiers allegedly rescued these couriers from the Border Security Force (BSF) patrol and provided the route to carry the smuggling goods in exchange for payment.
The investigator has revealed that these troops were admitted to work as ISI operatives by the drug syndicate across the border, so that they can directly give secret and sensitive details to the families in exchange for a huge discount on cash payments and opium consignments. Investigation revealed that the mastermind of the racket is Rajbin Singh, who is absconding. He is suspected of being an ISI agent. He initially became the informer of ISI after joining drug smuggling. The other two accused Amritpal Singh and Sandeep Singh are in the custody of Punjab Police. While the fourth accused Guruprakash Singh inadvertently shared sensitive details with other accused.
The four accused are the Tantrakas of Punjab and native of Patiala district and were posted in the Devlali Army Camp. These people of positions like soldiers, heroes and havildar allegedly used their official holidays to facilitate smuggling including drugs. These people used to maintain close contact with smugglers. After returning to Devalali, he returned to a restricted drop point and earned a significant amount per delivery.
During interrogation of these people and during the forensic investigation of their mobile phones, security agencies came to know that the accused soldiers were in direct contact with ISI agents. These people provided them with important information about the Indian Army.
