3-Layer Security Cover For PM Modi’s Visit On May 31; 20 IPS Officer, 3000 Police Personnel To Be Deployed | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A three-layer security cover would be put in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was scheduled to participate in the Mahila Sashaktikaran Maha Sammelan here on May 31, said officials on Thursday.
This will be PM Modi’s first public programme in the state after Operation Sindoor. He will interact with two lakh women in the programme.
The programme will be held in Jamboree Maidan, with tight security arrangements on the entire campus. There will be a three-layer security arrangement from the airport to the venue.
The venue will be sealed half an hour before the arrival of the PM and no one will be allowed to go in or out. As long as PM Modi will be present in the programme, the flight of drones, helicopters and planes will also be banned in the entire area.
Around 3000 police personnel will be deployed from the airport to the venue. Apart from the district police, cops and Special Armed Force (SAF) companies will also be called from other districts.
The National Security Guard (NSG) squad will be deployed for the security of the first circle of the PM, while the security of the inner circle will be entrusted to the Special Protection Group (SPG).
On May 29, the SPG team will take over the security of Jamboree Maidan. The responsibility of security in the outer circle will be of the MP Police. Twenty IPS officers will be deployed for the security of the PM.
A series of meetings regarding the PM’s visit started at the police headquarters (PHQ) from Wednesday.
