Three climbers from the US and Canada who planned to climb New Zealand’s highest peak ‘Aoraki’ have failed to return. Now information is being received that these climbers are missing. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. Police said that these people had gone to climb the mountain on Saturday, but no information was received about them till Monday. After climbing, the three climbers did not reach the predetermined destination, after which they were declared missing.

Heavy rain and snowfall forecast

A few hours later, searchers found some climbing equipment believed to have belonged to the three climbers, police said. But, during the search nothing was found of the three climbers. The search operation could not begin on Tuesday due to bad weather in Aoraki, also known as Mount Cook. Heavy rain and snowfall is expected here.

New Zealand Police emphasized this

Curt Blair, 56, of Colorado, and Carlos Romero, 50, of California, are certified guides in high mountain areas, according to the American Mountain Guides Association website. New Zealand police did not name the Canadian climber in their statement, but stressed the need to inform his family.
