A 28-year-old intern doctor, Hanumat Doiphode, posted at Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar, lost his life in a road accident on Sunday afternoon after his motorcycle skidded due to potholes. The incident occurred at Powai Chowk around 2:20 PM when Doiphode, who had been on leave for a month, was heading toward the hospital. Losing control of his motorcycle due to potholes, he fell onto the road and suffered severe internal injuries to his lungs.

Locals rushed to his aid and alerted the police. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead during treatment. Originally from Beed district, Doiphode is survived by his wife, children, and parents. His post-mortem was conducted before his body was handed over to his family for final rites.
