Mumbai: A shocking case of theft has emerged from the Panchratna Building, Opera House, where a son allegedly stole diamonds worth ₹3 crore and ₹5 lakh in cash from his father’s office safe. The accused, identified as 27-year-old Nirmam Jogani, was arrested by DB Marg Police.

About The Case

Nirmam’s father is a diamond trader, and he frequently kept valuable assets in the office safe. Tempted by the wealth, Nirmam hatched a plan to steal from his own family.

He secretly took an imprint of the safe key on a bar of soap and got a duplicate key made. On the night of February 20, using this duplicate key, he unlocked the safe and fled with the diamonds and cash.

During the investigation, police initially suspected an outsider. However, further probe and evidence revealed that the culprit was none other than Nirmam himself.
