Khetia (Madhya Pradesh): 27 passengers were injured when an overloaded pick-up truck overturned in Khetia on Saturday morning. One injured is reportedly serious.
As per reports, the vehicle with 35 passengers was going from Ekal Amba to Jalianpani when it overturned at a turn near Palhani. Villagers quickly arrived at the scene to assist the injured and transported them to Khetia Hospital.
Local police, along with sarpanch Saysih, coordinated efforts to ensure the injured were taken to the government hospital via ambulance. Health workers and doctors worked tirelessly to provide care, even laying beds on the floor to accommodate the increasing number of patients.
Tehsildar Sunil Sisodia and block medical officer Dr Amrit Bamanke arrived shortly after to assess the situation. Due to the severity of some injuries, 13 patients were referred to other hospitals, with one in critical condition.
Among the injured was a three-month-old child. Despite previous accidents at the same location, the practice persists as villagers rely on these vehicles for transport. Following the incident, police initiated an investigation and registered a case.
BJP IT cell dist in-charge killed in road accident
Maheshwar (Madhya Pradesh): BJP IT cell district in-charge and NSS volunteer Naveen Kushwaha was killed in a tragic road accident en route to the BJP’s Tiranga rally in Khargone.
He was also associated with Free Press newspaper. He was known for his dynamic speaking ability and leadership skills.
In a heartfelt tribute, BJP honoured him by draping his body with the party flag. MLA Rajkumar Mev described him as a younger brother and a dedicated colleague.
He actively contributed to both the party and social causes. Many dignitaries, including Maheshwar mandal president Vikram Patel and Mandleshwar mandal president Devendra Patidar, attended his last rites.
