Traffic Police Launches Intensive Traffic Awareness Campaign In Indore, 2,438 Challans Issued, Urges People To Obey Rules | FPJ

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Traffic Police has launched an intensive awareness campaign to ensure smooth, safe, and disciplined traffic in the city. The drive, which started on March 27, is being conducted at major squares such as Palasia, Radisson, Tower, and Chanakyapuri Square.

2,438 challans issued

Stringent enforcement measures are being implemented, resulting in a total of 2,438 challans issued for various violations. These include 892 challans for vehicles with missing or fancy number plates, 93 for the use of modified silencers, and 15 for unauthorised sirens and hooters.

Additionally, 188 challans have been issued for wrong-side driving, 157 for triple riding on two-wheelers, and 264 for jumping red lights. Further, 215 drivers were fined for using black-tinted windows, 1,261 for riding without helmets, 77 for not wearing seat belts, 57 for no-parking violations, and 5 for unauthorised use of emergency lights.

Traffic police rewards people who obey traffic rules

During the initiative, traffic police officials have been rewarding responsible drivers who follow traffic rules by offering them flowers and chocolates as a token of appreciation. Many commuters have welcomed the move, acknowledging the benefits of following traffic regulations.

To reinforce the importance of traffic rules, the police have been making regular announcements through microphones at squares, urging citizens to cooperate.
